Rooted Spring: Incense for the 3rd Qi of 2026

This incense is made for the Third Qi of 2026, beginning around the solar term Xiao Man 小滿 (May 20th) and moving through Xiazhi 夏至 toward Dashu 大暑 (July 20th), when the energy of late spring turns fully toward summer.

During this period, growth is no longer tentative. It is active, outward, and difficult to contain. The Shaoyang pivot governs this phase, where the body and environment move between interior and exterior. The pores open, fluids begin to disperse, and heat rises more easily through the system.

In the Bingwu year, fire expresses visibly. Beneath that, the movement of water does not fully anchor what rises. The result is a condition where brightness appears on the surface while the root fails to hold. Energy lifts, but does not settle. The mind becomes active, the chest opens, and the system can drift toward agitation, overextension, and depletion.

This incense is built to assist you in correcting that imbalance.

It does not cool the fire or suppress its movement. Instead, it more regulates the pivot, containing dispersion, and returns what has risen back to its source.
