壇香 or "tanxiang" is a homophone meaning both sandalwood and altar. Agarwood and sandalwoods are both "altar fragrances" used in East Asia for millennia to connect deeply. Their altars are built to be around heart height and these aromas are offered with such resonance, with the heart or core of being, opening and enriching life through sincere practices.
