My first time with Philippine agarwood. The profile here is sweet, smooth, cool with undertones of wet earth. It just rained here in California, calling in the seasonal change. Although Aquilaria does not grow in dry climates, the term Petrichor denotes the release of aerosols that come with the rain... "The smell is associated with oils that accumulate in rocks and soil during dry periods and are released by moisture."
Rainforests, obviously are not dry... however agarwood has a magical way of capturing the aroma of moisture and re-presenting it to us in unique and sometimes unexpected ways. This material is no exception, and exemplifies the concept-defying reality agarwood scent.
This scent manages to be heavy & light, spicy & soft, earthy & delicate.
it's got facets, and it is inviting. I invite you to enjoy it, and you will.

On my second burning, I realize it smells like a high-end all natural perfume from Ensar Oud called EO#2. It has a musky smell to it although I don't think there's musk in the blend.. I really really like this one and I suggest you get some now before it sells
