Devadāru: Ambergris Edition
2 grams approximately 20 min burn time
The name for Himālayan cedar, or Cedrus deodara comes from the Sanskrit "Devadāru" देवदारु which combines the word Deva "Gods, Divine" and dāru which means "timber, wood".
As an offering and acknowledgement to the Devas or "Celestials" we crafted this recipe using three main ingredients that we felt would do the theme justice. First and foremost our "Stanford Cedar" material, sweeter and deeper southern region Agarwoods, and premium "Hojari" Frankincense (Boswellia sacra) swimming in a warm heart of white and gold ambergris.
The origination of this blend came inspiringly and swiftly in contemplation - how to honor and innovate using the remarkable cedar material in a way that evokes the meaning of its name?
