The name for Himālayan cedar, or Cedrus deodara comes from the Sanskrit "Devadāru" देवदारु which combines the word Deva "Gods, Divine" and dāru which means "timber, wood".
As an offering and recollection of the Devas or "Celestials" I crafted this recipe using three main ingredients that I felt would do the theme justice. First the "Stanford Cedar" material alongside a sweet Vietnamese aloeswood blend with the specially processed premium "Hojari" Frankincense (Boswellia sacra) making for a bold & beautiful, gloriously elegant trio.
